Our first day of our Fall Mini Sessions certainly did not feel like fall. It was plus 32 and I ended up with a sunburn at the end of the day. However, I am not complaining because this was so much better than the snow we had for our sessions last year! Our families came dressed in their fall outfits and wiped the sweat off their foreheads between poses and tried their best to pretend it was fall. All in all it was a great day with happy kids, gorgeous weather and pretty lighting.

Wascana Trails is one of my favourite places to go. I actually believe that it is one of Regina’s greatest assets. I love heading out there to hike or run the trails. But for as much as I love it, I haven’t done very many photo sessions there. I recently started sending surveys out to my clients before their session and one of the questions is regarding location and which location they would prefer out of a wooded area, urban area or the valley. The vast majority of people have chosen the valley which has meant that I’ve had more opportunities to shoot in my happy place. This family could not have planned their session more perfectly. The trees were a perfect golden colour and the weather was a gorgeous 30 degrees.
