This Lilac Family Session was so fun. This family has come for family photos every year for many many years and it’s always so fun to see how much they have grown. This year we decided to do their family photos in the spring time and a lilac family session seemed like the perfect way to document their family this year.

We did not have the best luck with our Blossom Mini Sessions this year. It was a cold week which included snow and a whole lot of rain. Everyday was dark and cloudy which meant there were no gorgeous sunny blossom pictures this year. However, it also meant that the blossom colours were super vibrant and beautiful as the dark sky added plenty of contrast to the colours in the images. All of my families were such troopers when it came to scheduling their blossom mini sessions as all of the options were COLD. Here’s hoping for warm and sunny weather next year!

Many of these families are part of the Year of the Minis Program and have to deal with colder weather for fall and winter so it’s unfortunate that they ended up with cold spring weather as well but you just can’t control Saskatchewan weather!
