This group came for a family newborn session. The family photos were the most important to her Mama and were what she wanted the focus of the session to be on. Newborn photo sessions always include a variety of posed photos of the baby and photos of the baby with siblings and the whole family. Some of my favourite photos from sessions are always the ones that include the parents and siblings in the photo.

I have found that when there are other siblings involved the newborn photo session tends to become more of a newborn family session. The Mama’s want photos of their babies all together and those sweet family photos. The focus is more on the love between the family members rather than just the newborn. Of course we get also get plenty of posed photos of baby too but the parents always seem to love the family and sibling photos the most. And ultimately when that baby is older I think that she will be happiest to look at photos of her with her family over a posed photo of just her.
